Available Rooms: for different travellers, One of the room open whole winter fully heated insulated running hot water + heated washroom, Available in the room: Kettle, Water filter, study table and Breakfast, Dinner, Tea, is including in the price during the winter from 15 November to 15 of march. We serve simple, healthy, mostly homegrown organic food that keeps you warm.Just a few minutes downhill by following the footpath from Likir Monastery. In the Farm stay we have 3 cows, 1 cat, 1 dog, pet animals vegetable garden, barley fields, Apricot trees, Apple tree and one Walnut tree. The view and the colours of the landscape change with season to season. The village depends on its melting glaciers to grow food crops. It turns into a lush greenery oasis hustling with life during summer and slows down for the winters. Our unique culture traditional knowledge helps us grow as much as we can during this short season on time of everyday activities and in winters on art & craft. Everything that comes from the land, goes back to the land. Every little resource is valued.
My wife and I stayed at Stanzin's Farm Stay twice on two trips. It's the most magical experience we've had. The views into the valley and toward the Ladakh range in the distance are incomparable. It's utterly quiet and yet easy walking distance to Likir gompa. Stanzin and his family are most considerate hosts. And the food was great. We will come back!
I stayed at Stanzin’s home in 2022 and it is still one of the most memorable places that I’ve stayed throughout all of my travels! The view from the guest house is incredible. Stanzin and his family welcomed us in for homemade food, and he even gave us a personal tour of the Likir Monastery while we were there. If we had more time, we would have went on a trek led by Stanzin too. I know if I ever travel back to India I will be visiting here again!
A wonderful place with a view of the mountains below the Likkir cluster with a traditional Ladakh village. We had at our disposal a traditional giant room with a bathroom. Lovely hosts. Stanzin is a mountain guide. He devised a wonderful trek for us from the Lamayuru cluster to the Matho cluster and was a good guide for us for 9 days.
I felt in paradise. Felt blessed. Stanzin and his familly are hospitable, the rooms, the meals... Everything perfect while still kipping the charm of this vilage. I enjoyed walking up and down the monastery, the flows of streems anywhere around. It s a lovely lovely stay
Me and my girlfriend we spent 3 nights in Stanzin’s house with his family! everything was as perfect as it seemed online! nice and clean room…and what a view!!! waking up in the morning and seeing mountainous landscape that’s the most soulful view you could get!!! Stanzin himself was always there if something was needed!!! Provided all the information about places to visit and the area in general. His wife was making delicious local food and took care of us while we enjoyed staying at home! We definitely gonna come back! Stanzin, we gonna come back for this 5km mountain!!! To begin with, I knew that whenever I come to Ladakh, I will stay at Stanzins' place. Obviously there are many places to stay all through Ladakh but staying at a farmstay in a remote village with little to no tourists around is clearly something else! The food was all homemade and one dish more delicious than the next. As Stanzin is also a mountain guide I went on a day hike to Saspol and I couldn't stop taking pics and being in awe for this was one of the most mesmerizing hikes I have ever done and also my first time being in high altitudes. Stanzin always made sure I was feeling comfortable throughout the stay. I liked my time there so much that i prolonged for two more nights. The views were just breathtaking! I could not stop myself from sitting in front of the window and just watching the mountains and fields for hours! He was always committed on finding the best activities and since I am very interested in art and photography I really enjoyed the pottery and analogue studio nearby as well and even found some friends in the area, which made my stay at Stanzins' even more memorable!

We stayed with Stanzin and his family before starting the Sham Valley Trek. The room was amazing with incredible views of the mountains. We had a delicious dinner and breakfast. Stanzin was helpful with information about the walk and his family we lovely and very welcoming. Would highly recommend staying here!
